Ashaba Faridah grew up in a humble background in the outskirts of Kampala city, Uganda, she went on to defy the odds and become one of the few women pilots in her country. She is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Bambino Life Foundation, an organization that focuses on promoting girl child education & empowerment, she hoped to use her platform as a lady pilot to inspire young girls in rural parts of Uganda, to chase their dreams and to believe in themselves. The organization also creates awareness about children living with disabilities.

She gave her first TEDx talk held in Kigali last year 2019, hosted by the European Union, wherein she emphasized on why girls need relatable role models. As an inspiration to many, she strongly believes that girls should focus on who they want to be than what the society expects them. As an international and motivational speaker, she has spoken on different international platforms across Africa, Europe and Middle East. Ashaba ‘s story has been featured in numerous media outlets internationally from New York, Sydney, London, Ghana, Nigeria, Canada, Caribbean , Scotland etc.

Ashaba was selected to be 1 of the 9 women innovators to represent the UN women’s “Impossible to Ignore” campaign that launched the she innovates global program on international womens' day 2019. Some of the figures featured were Dr Christyl Johnson, the first female African-American deputy director of NASA. The campaign appeared all across the world from places like The economist, Westfield, NASDAQ, Walgreens, Time square, the world trade center and across all digital platforms in UK

Ashaba believes in breaking stereotypes. Around September 2018, she became the Director of STEM Queens Uganda, an initiative that encourages young girls to participate in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Her objective behind joining the initiative is to empower young girls mentally, prepare them to step into the male dominating world with confidence and to bring more significance to the idea of inclusion in STEM roles.

At the beginning of 2020, She was named among the Top 40 outstanding people in Uganda under 40 years of age by New vision, a national newspaper. Recently she She is also an alumni at The Bridge Water State University under the leadership in public management course through the Mandela Washington Fellowship program.
